These sketch portraits of poets and writers were drawn during their readings as I sat in the dark.I tried to make little noise while weilding pencil or tiny watercolor kit. The words and the faces
were lit before me, and I didn't always know what colors I used until the house lights come
back on! I always try to get an autograph.
I had a one-woman art show of several dozen portraits at the Cornelia St. Café in 2011.
